Message of SOCANEPH President
In a few days, we shall be celebrating African nephrology in the Cameroonian capital of Yaounde. In addition to marking of 30 years of AFRAN, this congress will highlight the strength of international partnership in nephrology through the impressive participation of the international society of nephrology (ISN), international paediatric nephrology association (IPNA), the European Renal Association (ERA-EDTA), the international Society of Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD), the Société francophone de nephrologie, dialyse et transplantation (SFNDT), the Swiss Society of Nephrology and the Saving Young Lives program (SYL).
The Scientific committee has put together a very interesting program with great opportunities for learning and sharing of experience. For those who have not yet done so, please indicate which of the pre-congress courses of the 14th March and the hands-on workshops of the 15th March you will be attending so we can better prepare to welcome you.
Buses will be available at 7:00 am at the Hilton, La Falaise and Djeuga Hotels to transport participants to the various venues of the pre-congress courses and hands-on workshops.
We also encourage you to stay on for the joint KDIGO-AFRAN morning session of the 18th which is dedicated to HIV-related renal disease.
We wish you a safe journey to Cameroon and please remember to bring along your dancing shoes so we can all move4 kidneys to the rhythm of bikutsi, makossa, assiko at the Gala night of the 17th
We hope you will also find time to discover the rich geographical and cultural diversity of Cameroon and why not catch a glimpse of the coveted African football Cup of Nations recently won by Cameroon for the 5th time
